Cold and stark. The bright white with the dark silhouettes, the water and the ice, and the smooth sky with the rough foreground are all really nice examples of good contrast. Shivering in the cold is not fun, I hope these people found shelter.

Really like the silhouettes of the people on the beach. Does look a bit cold there. Thanks for sharing your great lens work Mark.

and yet, the scene is so peaceful one would forget, at least those viewing this image, of just how bitterly cold it really is.

Mark, this is an amazing capture of this very romantic looking setting.

I'll bet they were... I'm shivering just looking at it. That reeeeealy looks cold! The path seems to be beckoning, challenging us to walk along its length without slipping and falling in. Great shot!

Very nice snapshot!

This is a real winter picture, love the reduction to the essential - the composition of picture ist perfect in golden ratio and I love the frosty mood, so long as I don't have to have cold ;-) best priska

My screen is frosting over as I look. Fabulous shot.

This photo looks like it could be 8 feet or more wide. It's very beautiful and interesting.

Wonderful mono mood picture of the silhouetted couple, glumly hunched over and staring at Lake Michigan, possibly contemplating suicide or something drastic like that. Really like the various variety of textures presented by your neighboring lake, Mark. I've got my second physical therapy session on tap for tomorrow.

you always have a story or two to tell., mark! the two figures make the image somewhat eerie as if they're about to make their amendments to the beauty of the scenery.
