Description
Down on the deck - 300 meters AGL.
This will be the last render in this series until after my workstation arrives. I'm going back to more basic planet files and imported meshes to work out the distribution process.
Render time about 18 hours.

Pretty cool WIP.

Was the distribution fractally determined? Looks a nice proof of concept.....might be quite a processing job to get all the variation required...I like it. Great fun.

Thanks, y'all! :)

Yes, to a limited extent - please see the thread in the MJW Users Forum.

"At this point, the rocks are being scaled, rotated along their 'Z' axis and tilted plus or minus '35' degrees on 'X'. It would add a lot more variety if the were also rotated along 'X' and 'Y' but I don't want to take the time just for these tests."
I should have noted that these were fractal-driven parameters.
All of the distribution will be fractally determined, at some point. That's one of the things I need to tweak in a simpler file.
Of course, there is also altitude and slope to factor in.

Those mods are only being applied to the red-colored rocks in this render. The blue rocks are just mapped in with Altitude.
