one of the things Ive stumbled across with this is that the variations need to be very far from each other to be believable. Please dont get e wrong Im not knocking your work at all.Its very very cool what a single mesh can do..its just that I awlways end up with some repetition close to each other which kind pi$$es me off. You have it here..look at the RHS of your render and you will see that "A" shaped rock with a dent in the middle replicated in close proximity to each other. I want to be able to avoid a second occurrence repeating within a proximity near to each other. I think the cause is the underlying Fractal used and the values calculated at specific points...which is a flaw of fractals...they are mathematically repetitive. I need to find a way to make it more RANDOM. ie: Fractal Multiply by RAND...but I don't think we have a RAND node.
Anyways ...Outstanding output and great tutes to boot in the Forums :)

:) thanks!

I think if you had at least three different rock meshes and used the tree variety function along w/ the randomizing their sizes over a larger range, a lot of that problem would go away.

Good idea, calyxa - thanks!
