Faith had figured that She'd get a rather hard time with the Galactic Patrol. She had been the pilot of a star-ship that had been running illegal stuff, assuming she knew what that stuff might have been. While that knock at the door was the GP, they only took her to the station and kept her there maybe two hours. They did ask questions about the crew and passengers, mostly about the crew that she answered as best she knew. It did feel like she was ratting them out as all she could say was about things she saw and as it was, she had mostly kept to herself. There had been a few "Intimate" moments with the captain and the first officer, and the medical officer but those were really just the kind of things one did on long jump transits. As there are only so many times one can watch the same vidcubes and card games. The GP took her official statement and verified that the suicide declaration of the Captain was valid and let her go. Not long after that the Cadet appeared at her quarters wondering what "They" were going to do next. Faith told him that while she had no idea what "He" was going to do, She was planning to submit her "Quals" the Merchant Marine Guild and see if she might get picked up by a ship. Faith went on to explain that it might be a while as both of them were named in the big bust in the news and positions may be a bit sparse till the news cools off. Knowing that the cadet likley had little money gave him enough to survive until his parents could fly him home. He kinda had that privileged air about him, rich kid trying to make it on his own kinda thing. He promptly got a room next to hers and follow her around as she posted her CV to Various companies and the guild, she even helped him fashion a Apprentice CV. A few days passed and the silence of the applications were very loud to Faith. She had maybe enough saved to go a good while but she was hoping her luck would change and fast and by the looks of it, it wasn't going to be. She wondered if she might want to reinstate her Leisure license and permit, but that was only a last resort. Her coms rang and it was the cadet, Faith seriously though about learning what his name was. The cadet asked if Faith might meet in the bar downstairs. He said there was someone that might be of help. She wanted to say no, but, She did fancy a beer. The place was still largely quiet and empty. She got her beer and found a spot to sit and wait. While she waited her mind wandered into the black, the place where all this crap was of little importance. She started to work her numbers of the off chance she could get her own ship. But there were far too many zeros in the wrong decimal places for that. She failed to hear the clicking of footsteps approaching her. "Ma'am?" the familiar voice of the cadet spoke. Faith turned her head and saw what at first she thought was a Darian. But they generally don't wear business suits, or have short red hair. "You are Flight officer Faith Hallorane?" the small suited woman asked politely. Faith nodded with little emotion or movement. A moment passed, "It's cool Ma'am. She's legit." the cadet said looking at Faith. "I'm Shanni Elkhorne, Business agent for Tolk Shipping. Cadet Roth tells me you have your masters papers and a valid 1-A pilot license, if that's true, I would very much like to discuss an opportunity with you and the cadet." The short female said setting down her briefcase. Faith looked at the woman for a moment, "Yeah..it's true." she said as she motioned to the empty stool.
