Description

A quick image of some upcoming freebies. These were more about me learning to use blender (2.82 alpha, now). My previous workflows have involved all sorts of things. I would use Sketchup for architectural stuff. Hexagon for meshes. A mix of hexagon and Poser for morphs. Then I started using Blender for sculpting. Thus, 2.82 because the things added to sculpting are friggin amazing. Things like being able to move things as it it was rigged. And quad remesher (used through a plug-in) is the best remesher ever. Seriously, one click to something perfect. Anyway. I wanted to recrete the Dance Studio that I got ages ago, from I don't remember. I wanted a better UV, better edges, etc. And I was determined to do all of it in Blender. Which involved learning the whole 3d cursor thing. Sketchup just does the logical thing but not so with Blender. But sometimes I found that 2.8 really does just do some things logically. It's quite the update. Anyway, in this scene, this is as close to "everything" as I've ever come. The room I did in Blender. The balance Beam is a freebie I did in hexagon. The character is my freebie "erin" for La Femme. The leotard and gym shoes are also my freebies (hexagon+poser for both of them). The mirror is done using Bagginsbill's tricky volumetric glass for the top layer and a simple poser reflection for the back. So there is a very subtle reflection on the glass. I use some of VinceBagna's really nice supershaders to fill stuff out (for this image). ezdome for the outside. The windows are actually quite detailed in that the frame and muntins have a slot for the glass so it looks realistic even in close ups. The mat will also be released. It's detailed as well so you can go quite close. It's not just a squashed cube (it started as one, though :D ) When I release the freebie room, all the textures will be mine. I have to package it all up for Poser. This includes 3 other copies of the mirror, double barres at each mirror. ANyway, the idea is a room that can be used as a music room, dance studio, gym studio, etc. I'm going to make another front wall with rectangular windows. Those work well with the curtains props. Once again, I used Mayu's texture.
