Description

Just playing with the studio I uploaded to freebies. It's taken a while. When I saved the scene a bunch of stuff that shouldn't have been saved was. Extra cameras, lights, and textures. Oops O.O Anyway, this is Mayu (modded with my erin), wearing my leotard. Blackhearted's HD morphs (great for athletic images). This is to test the studio I built in Blender. What a journey. Learned heaps about instancing, curving edges, UVMapping. Then a bunch more about OBJ imports and exports, scaling (not so difficult once Poser's scale is sorted). And finally, a bunch about superfly mats. Mostly just tracking down and reading the threads left behind by the giants of Poser Materials. If you've been using poser for decades and tried to render anything even remotely realistic, you know who they are :D I include some simple mats. The most significant of which is BB's tricky glass. There is some detailing. The glass has thickness. The mirror has glass over it. There are some rounded edges but not all of the them are rounded. I'll probably continue developing it. One nice thing about blender is changing the geometry does not destroy the UVmapping. Hexagon sucked for that. :p I tossed a few props in to liven the scene up. The bench I re-UVMapped to make it easier to texture. It's not my model. Really not much to say except I can see that I still have a lot to learn. Especially in the mat/lighting/render settings area. OMG, every time I feel I know something, I find out that all I've done is chipped a small cube off a titanic sinking sized iceberg of knowledge. My puppies are snoring, And I. Am. So. Tired.... zzzzZZZZZzzzz...... ^.^

Thank you! ^.^

As I learn more, I find myself making more and more of the bits of a scene. From modeling to character morphs to materials. I suppose it's about control. I'm somewhat of a control freak ( O.O ikr? ). Still, I like to "lipstick that up" with a "in the pursuit of knowledge" :D
