Description
Blodeuwedd "Flower-Faced" was created from broom, meadowsweet, and oak by the magicians Math and Gwydion, to be the wife of the hero Lleu Llaw Gyffes who was cursed never to have a human wife. After they were married, she had an affair with Gronw the lord of Penllyn, and the two conspired to murder Lleu. Gwydion saved Lleu and pursued the fleeing Blodeuwedd, turning her into an owl, declaiming "You will not dare to show your face in the light of day ever again, and that will be because of enmity between you and all other birds. It will be in their nature to harass you and despise you wherever they find you. And you will ...always remain Flower-face". Here we see Blodeuwedd fleeing through the woods, and being startled by an owl that presages her own fate.
The fate of Gronw is another story... The full tale is told in the Welsh myth of Math fab Mathonwy, the last of the Four Branches of the Mabinogi.
Slowly getting to grips with iray shaders and lights... so much to learn (thanks for the pointers Rtesian)! This was done as a quick test so is still a bit noisy; once I'm a bit happier that i know what I am doing, I can push the rig a little harder!
