Description

Some time ago, I did an image of three sea serpents looking up mournfully at a lighthouse. The inspiration for the image came from a short story by that master story teller Ray Bradbury. For this image, I went back to Bradbury for my inspiration. It comes from another of his short stories where time past and time present come together along a lonely stretch of train track. The people of time past know it as the stomping grounds of a fierce dragon, while the people of the present know it as a haunted stretch of land. In the early morning mists, heavily lit by the full moon, armor clad knights on armor clad chargers appear to do battle with the iron dragon only to vanish without a trace after being struck by the train. Great idea and really nicely done. Because the thumbnail was a little dark I nearly didn't look at this but I'm very glad I did. Excellent work, I really like it. It's always nice to see someone putting some thought into their pics.
