Mayor Lori Lightfoot of Chicago has had enough of people not taking the "Stay At Home" order seriously, so she ordered the lakefront, beaches, and the 606 trail off limits until further notice. Also, if people continue to congregate they will get only ONE warning, then ticketed, and finally arrested. People need to wise up and think about their fellows. Too many people are getting sick and dying from COVID-19. In America there are 82,000+ cases with 1100+ deaths, with the number of diagnosed cases surpassing China. You yourself may not be sick, but you could pass it on to someone more vulnerable and that person will end up in the hospital. Act as if you have the virus! I'm as tired as the next person of not being able to go wherever and whenever they please. I miss having a good drink of beer on the town. I miss being able to take pictures. I miss going to networking events. I know people miss doing a lot of outdoor activities. The only way we can QUICKLY get back to life as close to normal is to listen to the health experts and our state and local leaders (because President He-Who-Shall-Not-Be-Named really doesn't give a crap) and STAY HOME as ordered. Then hopefully our health care system can help those at greater risk, and that mass testing for COVID-19 will happen soon and we can get help to others and isolate the virus. Do we want to have normal lives again or not??
