Description
Estrella Martinez. Age 33. Just a few years older than me. Arrived from Little Village a couple of hours ago. Extreme coughing and fever.
Just one of many I have to help. I have already tended to a lot of people coming down with COVID in the past week, and unfortunately there will be way many more before too long. I hope Wen and the team are fine. I hope Akeem is fine. I hope Mom and Dad are fine. I hope Uncle Timothy is fine.
Not sure I'm fine. Pretty certain of it. Still, duty comes first.

Nurses in particular don't get the credit they deserve... I spent an extended period in the hospital long before this crisis and saw first hand just how dedicated and brave they are... Thank you for this salute to them... And THANK YOU to all those who are on the front-line!

When you become a health care provider you always thought that you would help the sick and the injured but you never thought about a highly contagious pandemic would occur. That is something that never happens in most people's life times. The health care providers that are on the frontline now with this disease need to be honored for their service and bravery. Thanks for reminding us for their service. Well done!

a neighbor and friend works in a huge hospital and she was telling me that in their office(directly working with patients)for registering, are not allowed to wear masks, only the doctors and nursing staff

That makes no sense at all for them to do that. I know supplies are limited but why put people who are face-to-face with patients at risk?!
And then you have states bidding against each other and foreign entities for equipment! If current administration had it's priorities in order, they would take the lead in making sure each state got at least SOME resources at the ready.
