Great to see your latest post. I did not know of Coral Painter 2020 but I am impressed what you do with it.

you've turned a quiet, introspective image of a tree and a few branches over a pond (river? lake?), or just over some ice, into a gently carved bas relief or an oil painting graced with palette knife markings, sweeps and gouges. It's tranquil and contemplative, beneath the surface; but it's very active on the surface. I love your knife and brushwork---however you did them digitally---and how it pushes the depth of the image right onto the surface, where so much rhythm and activity is taking place...And the branches on the left are pure traditional Japanese...you've made that almost into a classic Japanese print. Another Nikolay miracle, beautifully done, and, as always, with many mysteries. My very best wishes to you and your loved ones, Nikolay, and may you all stay safe from the ravages of this crazy virus.
