In the midst of a very difficult time---where you are working hard to keep your mother (and you) safe, and hoping the best for the world---you post these magical little worlds for us. This is delightful. I love the 'attitude' of that front mushroom: It looks upward, as if to greet the world. (It reminds me of the old Disney animationa for The Nutcracker Suite, where his studios animated mushrooms dancing.) Beautifully done. And the background musheooms seem almost like ceramic---you've placed a firefly over them as if they had lights of their own. I also love the string of firefly lights---like a carnival or christmas celebration. And a friendly f.fly on the front mushroom---with one taking off like a rocket--love that! (You pack all these little bits of humor into your images.) And the two fairies are delightful, with wings of the color of the firefly-lights; and the front one has that light on her skin. (She looks as relaxed as can be, too: This is definitely a world free of woes.) And finally, your bokeh'd background in deep restful greens...Beautiful. Thanks for posting these, Barb, they're what everyone needs. (And thanks as always for your very kind and caring comments---to me and to others. They're always greatly appreciated.) Stay strong and healthy!

My very favorite thing about this image is the way the mushrooms have been festooned with lights. A way the Fae folk claim their space.
