Nice image, you can see some fine details! Many bird specices are in decline, good to see some healthy cardinals... :)

I remember my mum also had a feeder outside her kitchen window. My favorite were the humming birds... 😁

Amongst my favorite bird, always loved them. The color and feather style. Not in Colorado. Some birds end up in areas they are not known to he from. Blue Jays eventually made it here along time ago, was hoping these beautiful birds would. Maybe the climate has a factor

Love your great capture of the male and female. 5++ Thanks for sharing, gave me a needed smile Barb. Take care plz.

These are wonderful captures of this beautiful mates--good clarity and light...Cardinals are some of my favorite birds...had them upstate NY and even here in my Queens neighborhood, though I haven't heard them this year...but, since I haven't been outside lately, actually there's no hearing anything out there...

Great photos! You show them in such detail. I'm not that good or fast enough to capture them. I'm in Kentucky and they are our state bird. I see them here pretty much all year though more so in warmer weather.

Your window feeder seems a delightful place to rest, as this world sickness passes, ... with so many views and a challenge of capturing one which expresses a certain feeling...

I love that you presented the two facing each other (even if they weren't, in real life), it makes a connection, maybe with 'social distancing'...I also love that both birds are caught with food in their beaks, and ON their beaks. (Aha! You were in the cookie jar!!!) I'm embarrassed to say I don't know the male from the female, but I see that Steve does. And I love those little handmade feeders...and, because you cut off the shots, the little rods that hold the feeders are suspended in mid air, giving a real "candid" feel to your shots. (Well, I guess they were candid...you didn't set them up in a studio and spend 30 minutes on lighting...) The bird on the right has its mane 'combed back': Maybe it's telling the one on the right to "get with it" and comb its back too. (Don't mind my mindlessness. i've got cabin fever.) A delightful capture, and I hope it's symptomatic of a great spring to come. Hopefully you'll be able to be out there enjoying it soon---I hope so. I hope this peaks and goes away (and doesn't make a return). Nice to see pics like this when most of us are inside most of the time. Stay well, Barb, and the same to all your loved ones. I wish you all the best!

Beautiful captures of these Cardinals, Barb! Nice and sharp - amazing clarity given that you shot through a screen.

I saw a male yesterday, hopping around in a tree in the backyard, but didn't get any photos.
