Tina is 28 years old her parents were killed in the middle east serving our country when she was 8 years old, she stayed at her Aunts then was on a navel vessel with her admiral uncle till she was 18. I will get into her full story in future.

Well, I know a little bit about Ionizing radiation (atoms bouncing off one another) from previous work experience. Alpha particles are the tamest large slow moving particles(charge neutral 2 protons 2 electrons) clothing can stop them. Not saying they are not dangerous inhaling them (one form is Radon gas) can be dangerous but don't typically cause radiation sickness. Beta particles are electrons, high energy small and extremely dangerous if inhaled or ingested external exposure is like a severe sunburn. Beta rays don't travel far from their source and can be stopped by solid objects,, A and B are more serious inhaled (gases like Radon) or ingested from contaminated foods.Gamma exposure...well you're dead, extremely high energy particles, takes several of inches lead or feet of concrete to stop them, they pass through the body unimpeded causing carnage to everything, skin, organs, bones and marrow, your're dead meat, how fast is determined by amount of exposure...all that said is in defense of Radiation detectors not zeroing in on A and B rays because they won't kill you in a hurry on contact like Gamma particles will.
As far as the fires themselves, IMHO the fires, Australia, the American west all over the world basically are Climate change related and will only become more frequent and lethal in scale. The fire around Chernobyl are compounded by burning still radiated trees, moss etc causing fallout from smoke there's no chance of a Nuclear Detonation like the power plant itself No source (at least all nuclear source material was supposed to be gone long ago). As far as current disasters around the world go on a scale of 1 to 10 with the current Pandemic as a 1 (and this is with personal and selfish reasoning behind it) I would put the Chernobyl fire at maybe 5 or 6 as far as I'm concerned.

wow, lenord has a lot to say about radiation and its sickness. I saw that letter from your deviantart friend, and it's scary stuff. In a crisis like this, there are people who'll do anything to take advantage. We hope for the kindness of those who care.
Also, Steve, I saw your Easter image and it was touching, as always. I didn't seen any comment boxes, so accept my praises here. Sorry you couldn't be in church---one of the sacrifices in a time like this...we all hope it won't be a problem again.
Your cover is another of your masterful cover designs, with your usual intuitive sense of composition, fonts, hues, etc. I mean, her head is in line with the top of that back wall. The clouds surround her flying hair. Her outfit stands out beautifully from the battle-torn area around her. Your Poser Gurlz title is in a perfect color for your background. Her left knee pokes right into the titles on your page. You're so good at this, Steve. Another first rate cover design from you. My very best wishes to you, through this deluge. The blue you've used is so appealing to me...thanks for the AOM shout out :) Yes, once again Chernobyl is in the news...with this virus, global warming and now Chernobyl burning, humans will be facing big challenges for survival...all of which most likely could have been avoided if humans weren't so lazy, greedy, and often just so stupid.

And, if things are that serious can't the Russians and/or Ukrainians lay a layer of concrete on that entire area of contamination?
