I've skipped over some terrific images (mea culpa), but I want to get to at least one current image...Terrific light and shadow in this image, and the light from the upper right corner is like silk. The woman is clothed with real panache, and with coordinated colors (browns, brown-grays, silver-grays, with that big blast of gold-platinum hair). And you used bright yellow flowers in the front to give real contrast to the piece. Beautiful fog in the background, and beautiful light on the stones too. Plus, the woman is placed in the image quite effectively. As for the question in your title: I hope it doesn't come to this. In the U.S., in the last week, there has been violence---not by hungry people, but by stubborn people who refuse to wear a mask. They're attacking store clerks for asking them to wear a mask. In your image, the woman looks hungry and needy...but some of the violent people here are just selfish. A visually beautiful evocation of your title. I hope it doesn't get this bad...
