lol, Rod (no, I wouldn't take her out to dinner either, unless I were wearing protective head gear), and yes to guilband: It does remind us of the medusa goddesses (who had heads of snakes, where, if you looked at them, they'd turn you to stone---not a great first date!)
This is one of the rare 2-parters from you! The first image is actually different from the 2d: In 1, you have the snake's head staring right at us, and it's terrifying---its eyes seem to be gone! (And its teeth are bared...) In the lower image, the snakehead is on the opposite side, and in more shadow...And man, that is one scary woman! You've given both portraits an eerie bronze-green-and-orange glow (you're always so damned good with colors), and metallic eyes: The first image has feline eyes, a scary cat. And her skin has snakeskin patterns too. (My mom would say, "give her some Noxema!") And her medusa-hair is like pure metal, with the snakes looking fierce. Both images have an eerie glow, and her legs and torso (no. 2) are almost pure bronze. And a purple-ish background (night castle). More terrific use of color and texture, Steve, and the lady is both alive and frozen-in-time: Like medusa, she has the capacity to turn us to stone. You gave her snake-like fingers too (w/ snake nail polish). Gives a new meaning to "coordinated outfit"! Terrific work, Steve. I hope your mom is well and holding up through this long time...and I'm sorry you can't take her out. I'm glad, thought, that she's well for you to visit. Take care and stay safe!

I looked at her, and by a miracle, I was not transformed into stone. Phew! Great low light rendering, interesting and mesmerizing!

Wow, Steve, what a great scene--great pose and lighting...for some reason, every time I see a snake's head, I see Melania's face :) Have a great Mother's Day with your Mom (hope you'll practice social distancing though).

It's a great idea to have shown the scene in two images, overview shot and close-up, and from different angles. This makes it possible to appreciate the pose and the textures. I don't know if you used a background or if you created the scenery because the character is perfectly integrated and the light is very similar to the scenery. If it's a set, I wonder where all these elements come from...Anyway it's a really magnificent picture! I love it!...Stay safe and take care, my friend !
