it's been a while since we've been treated to your roses...this one is introspective, in a deep yellow sunken in deep red shadows, and shaded on the right side (along with the background)---like it's emerging out of sleep. You've caught and postworked so many moods in your huge rose collection; this is among your more emerging and introspective kinds. Mysterious and beautiful, and the reds look almost infra-red, like the rose has hidden powers...
