compared to your last piece, this has a flatter feeling, the hues are like chrome-edged paint splattered onto your surface...you also have your characteristic glassy structures, but this is one of your bryce pieces that uses lots more flat splats and blurbs and explosions, etc, making them like digital oil paintings, or acrylic paintings. Enormous energy here: That big pink blob in the center is just the beginning: You have an intuitive sense of the energy of a mere blob, then you carry it through converging "highways"---those many thin lines rushing all over this piece...it's like a nightmare intersection of highways which, to the drivers, is a nightmare; but which, to the outside observers, is a stunning visual feast. Colliding contrasting hues, bang bang bang, blaring like a crowded street in manhattan; and strokes in the corners (upper left is a perfect example) that shout "OIL" to me (oil paint, not petroleum, lol---though who knows, maybe petroleum would feel at home in this whooshing whirlpool). The flat aspect gives it a visceral feeling that digital can rarely achieve. A big whooshing collision, and if this were on a wall, it would need to be by itself. Pieces like this demand their own space...
