Description

The S.S. Prospero has finished the first day of her maiden voyage. The initial tests of the lightspeed engines were very successful. And now, John Gatson, captain of the Prospero, is retiring for the night. But he arrives at the cabin he shares with Carlos Solana with a modest bit of celebration on his mind. Number 7 is doing a little butler duty before going about the nightly chores. This is a continuation of the set I created for Boarding Party. I've long wanted to do an ongoing story in visual form about a spaceship crew taking our first steps into exploration. Rendered in 3D Studio MAX. Boots by RuntimeDNA. Adapting the DecoTech modular props provided just the jumpstart I needed to get the hallways of the Prospero designed.

very nice. 1 suggestion if it is not unwelcome? Crop the pic so that the main character is not centered. it will make the image look more dynamic.

Re-rendered this today to reposition the main figure as suggested. I agree it adds more energy to the scene. Rather than crop it, I repositioned the camera. Of course, that led to a round of tweaks to lighting and textures as well.
