Les enfants sont la part la plus intime de notre amour que nous consentons à livrer au monde et à la vue. Ils sont cette part de nous-même qui va devenir autre, pour marcher, d’abord, à nos côtés. Ils grandissent, et dans le même temps, notre admiration et nos craintes pour eux, c’est la vie. Pourtant, nous le savons, toutes les manières de les laisser derrière nous, ne se valent pas. Certaines, nous permettent de les saluer, tels de fiers cavaliers, prêt à lancer leur monture au triple galop, vers l’avenir d’une plage à perte de vue. Et nous tentons de les apercevoir le plus longtemps possible, à travers la buée, que notre émotion laisse sur la vitre. Mais d’autres circonstances, nous laissent dévastés, le cœur comme une pièce traversée par les hurlements d’un ouragan. Comment pourrons-nous reconstruire ce qui est en miettes ? Quelle force faudra-t-il pour faire advenir de nouveau à la lumière cette image de paix, où la confiance de nos enfants était le soleil de notre horizon ? Ton image bouleversante prend une valeur exorbitante.

It's a very funny thing.. I have told people for a long time that part of having a child is to learn to let go... for so very long the child needs not only your love but support.. then bit by bit over the years your little baby is all grown up no longer the child you had to feed and carry but this full grown person that you now stand beside and you look and hold their baby
