George Floyd was killed by the actions of four police officers in Minnesota. Over a counterfeit bill at a convenience store. Clearly that was unnecessary, unreasonable, and inhumane force. We must make our voices heard and demand justice for Floyd and others mistreated by out-of-line officers. But NOT, BUT NOT, at the expense of damaging property or harming people. Attacking police officers, destroying our homes and our shops helps NOTHING and NO ONE. (And to be VERY CLEAR, there are those who are using the protests SOLELY AS AN EXCUSE to commit crime and chaos. Simply because they think they can. They, along with the police officers involved in Floyd's death, need to be brought to justice and made examples out of.) And lest ANYONE forgets: Coronavirus is still here, infecting and killing people. Over ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND Americans have died from Covid-19 since the infections first came to our shores in late January of this year. It's not going anywhere anytime soon, and our actions WILL make it worse!
