Description

This one is for my friend's detailing and polishing business. (Hence the sign on the building). The image was modeled in Carrara 2, and rendered with global illumination in multiple passes. This allowed for considerable flexibility in post. Since the image is for print, the added flexibility was essential to make sure I had complete control over the lighting and color, while still being able to stick to my tight schedule. (The image is calibrated for 1.8 gamma on the Mac, so it will display dark on machines running with 2.2.)

Wow , this is wonderful . Although I might say I'd prefer a smoking chimney and a child looking out the window maybe to the neon sign I understand it's there for a reason. Anyway, I love the general glowing feeling of everything. Makes the little cabin look so warm on such a frosty night :)

Excellent work -pix! Ice hanging off the roof I love it. (Dont forget the back right side?) Over all color looks great. Is the snow a CS2 particle effect? It has a good looking random effect to it if it is. Great to see you have some time to play :)

The problem with posting big images, is that glought notices my missing icicles. combine that with no chimney and not really liking that glowing sign = scott will be re-rendering this weekend. Snow is faked in PS7. I used the liquify & motion blur to wobble it. Lots of post because of lack of time.
