I'm a huge SciFi and Fantasy fan and a lot of my professional art has been in this genre through sculpture and hero class props and models. Probably the finest example of pure SciFi was Kubrick's 2001: A Space Odyssey(c). The film's climax was surreal, enigmatic and left a lasting impression on me. In this piece, I wanted to show a Monolith on an alien world - one possibly lit by a red dwarf star - have it's water artificially seeded by whomever created these (Monolith) machines.
