Description
Hi...
I wanted to convey hope in the midst of all the social pain...this is an old photo, but I messed with it to make our meeting places seem afire with light and glow. I know part of it looks like flames---I didn't mean that; I meant, more, our cultures melding into each other. I hope it conveys light as much as conflict. (I hope!) I meant light...I just had a hard time w/ this untamed image...
Oh, and it's another huuuuge one, so if you can zoom, it'll be fuller...
I have a tooth problem, so have to have dental work. Nothing serious, just a royal pain. I won't be able to be here for around a week, so I can heal. There are birthdays coming up: I'll get to them all---I'll just be late. So don't think I forgot---just give me extra time to get to them.
To all peaceful protesters, try to keep space and masks! We still have to beat this virus! The same to everyone else---it's not gone yet, let's help it be gone by taking precautions---we're all in this together. Much strength, peace, light and love to all of you, mark
(michigan avenue, chicago...with some crazy alterations)

This is real huge and colorful, love your street life scene! with reflection into the next, I like the silhouette of this man walking alone over the street - it gives action and live between cars and houses. Poor you, its not fun to have tooth pain - hope you get better soon!

Wow! Such an exciting and beautiful image...once again, I really like the vibrant palette--excellent photo manip, Mark. Your message is so important at this watershed moment in world history. Discrimination and bigotry are not only found in the US--it exists in all countries and cultures, and it actually diminishes those individuals who feel they are superior to others because of the color of their skin (or religious beliefs, etc.). Of course, it would help immensely if we got rid of the hateful orange devil this fall. As far as Covid is concerned, I do hope folks are following the personal conduct rules concerning this virus...It seems most are, but there are plenty of fools who think they are indestructible, don't give a damn about the welfare of fellow humans, or are so ignorant that they don't understand how bad this virus is (it's a hoax doncha know)...much luck with that tooth, Mark. Stay safe.

love the mirror looking effect on your city of Chicago Mark.I really like the vibrant palette from your manipulation. and like how you changed it on the lower part of the collage. another most pleasing job with your talent my friend. 5++
hard to believe all this that went down with Mr. Floyds death, the looting, aggressive marches, looting, property damage and all the extra police on duty, national guard, etc most likely in the 200 million dollar mark or much higher, he lost his life because of really bad cops and total chaos all over a counterfeit $ 20.00 bill. now we wait and see how many more people will die cause of Covid-19 all around because of the gatherings.

This is a fun image! The colors, the reflections, the light... all of it so much fun. The way the photo bounces and flips is like a game of "find the differences." It's easy to get lost hunting for cool and interesting things in this. The top is the most fun with all the abstract objects that were created from reality. This is a children's book come to life.
Take care, I hope your tooth heals quickly. Tooth pain is horrible. Stay safe out there!

This is so full of color and life - and hope. A wonderful and heartfelt piece of art, Mark! I just hope our society can learn how to live together as one human species... I thought there was hope back in the '60s with all the 'peace / love' sentiment going on, but I guess there have been several (spoiled) generations since then. Sad...
Anyway, this is lovely, Mark - thanks for brightening our days!
Gah.... Dental work.... I probably should call my dentist. I had an appointment for the first of April, but that got put on hold due to covid..

That looks cool with all the glowing colors.

Oh my, Michigan Avenue as viewed through the hallucinated eyes of a LSD user. What a stunning interdimensional scene we have going on here, Mark, with your usual patented color and object creations for us all to witness in awe. Other than that, you really got Goldie going on her assessment of the human species as it's been from time immemorial. Now is a bad time to be alive. A killer pandemic, rioters, protesters, race, alleged police brutality; a devisive political atmosphere rules the land. Climate change, overpopulation and pollution, anyone? I prefer the wistful good old days of the 1950's during the Eisenhower administration. A time machine, please! With that said, good luck on your tooth problem. And I hope your shoulder is doing better.

It’s like a picture of the world turning inside out. In my dreams, this turning-inside-outness is about hidden potentials being exposed and released - or at least a guidance to try to stay out of their way so they can come forth. It’s like they are telling me, You think you know what it’s all about, but it’s really so much more . . .
