Description

Collegiate church The collegiate church was built between the 11th century and the 12th century. The 11th century crypt shelters numerous 12th and 13th century murals, notably a Christ in majesty which thrones in a double glory in mandorla.The building was classified as a historic monument in 1862 Eglise collégiale La collégiale a été construite entre le XIe siècle et le XIIe siècle. La crypte du XIe siècle abrite de nombreuses peintures murales des XIIe et XIIIe siècles, notamment un Christ en majesté qui trône dans une double gloire en mandorle.L'édifice est classé au titre des monuments historiques en 1862

You had such a beautiful day for photo taking, J_C :) This is an interesting building--beautiful arches. For some reason it brings to mind "The Name of the Rose."
