Ok. This is for Brigitte (blondeblurr). It's her birthday today, even though it's a day later in Australia. At least I'm on time in Chicago...
Brigitte's a dear friend to a number of us here. She's been gone for a while, but her gallery brims with all kinds of wild, bursting stuff--transformations of household objects, all kinds of avant garde 'play', all kinds of vivid colors, experiments, wild visual dance, you name it...and often mixed with the rigors of a graphic studio artist. You come to her uploads to see what new 'explosions' she put up, what new play and explorations...and for her humor and play and her love for people here.
Some of you know she lost her son in August of 2017 (August 7th), and she went through a long difficult journey afterwards. Her son was here too (jif3d - Jeff), another highly talented artist, who was building a career in art at the time...I remained in touch with Brigitte after that, and she was on a long journey...I've never lost a child, but the few people I know who have have told me that there's nothing else like it. She went through a great deal, and I hope it has gotten easier for her...
But today, Brigitte does and has done the things she always loved, gardening, designing, helping others with projects, soaking in the beauty of her beloved Australia (she came from Europe), and many other things...I know there will always be a loss in her heart, but from what I see, she shines and creates and gives love; and I wanted to give mine in return.
Happy Birthday Brigitte, and I wish you all the joy and inspiration you can get. I hope your life shines for you, I mean every day; I did my usual 'number', above, with the kind of wild colors and shapes you always liked in my work: I hope they're a harbinger of the colors and dance you deserve, with the hope that you get them each day of your life. Lots of love and peace; and, whenever you stop by again---whenever's right for you---you'll be welcome by everyone who knows and misses you here. Many, many more, with love and lots of joy! mark

I so enjoyed reading your sensitive, caring dedi for Bridgette. It is beyond tragic for a parent to lose a child, and I am pleased to know that her days are brighter and fulfilling. Your awesome photo manipulations filled with wonderful vibrant colors are perfect birthday greetings.

Your dedications are always filled with love and care and I hope this birthday gift brings a smile to Brigitte's face.
The colors are so cool in both these images. The top one is a bright city at night (that's not easy to accomplish!) and the bottom one is a city in full celebration. The reflections in the water are so pretty in both. Your city scenes are always filled with magic and fun.

These final two images are such wonderful contrasts, Mark. Much like the contrast of feelings one goes through after losing someone close. Such a thoughtful and beautiful dedication for Brigette. Happy Birthday, Brigette, and may healing continue to be with you.

[you know him! - oh, you don't ? what I mean is "the guy from Chicago!" you don't know him? well let me make it a bit clearer - I'm sure you have heard of "Al Capone's city".. well, that's good and now that I have got your attention - everything else is simple. *Mark lives and breathes CHICAGO !!! * You will always recognize his distinct style, when it comes to his ART... EXUBERANT ! indeed, would be one word, but there are a million more words, you could call it and they would all be applicable to his vivid and memorable type of art [just check The Macquarie Thesaurus].
It's his style which I love so much, it is invigorating, to say the least, which gives me a lot of joy and puts an instant smile on my face and that's what it is all about, he is a regular 'healer' to most of us, here at Renderosity Galleries. It's always a celebration.
What more can I say Mark ? You did it again and I THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart. I am overwhelmed by your kindness, also to 'goldie'/ 'bakapo'/ and 'RodS' for their empathy in regards to my beloved son, Jeff. and your dedication.

Still another great birthday card, "Mister Chicago Man!" Ms Bardot really appreciates your efforts, Mark. Why can't I think of that way out art style? Probably past my prime, lucky at my age to know which end of the camera has the lens. Oh well, back to my social distancing.

A very interesting gallery, thank you for the link. Your city is receding. And in the very last frame, all the intrusions and explosions in the foreground have finally calmed down and integrated themselves, and now the city nightlife comes awake.
