Hmm, Sorry, but i'm not shure this work deserves so much complements... First of all, lightning is NOT perfect. I'd say tis very strange. If sun rays goes towards the camera, why then ALL objects have strong specular bliks on front side? For example, door recieves huge ammount of direct light... Ok, now about materials. They ALL have very "plastic" look. If you look closer, you'll find that they all have very similar light reflection properties, though objects are made of very different materials. And the whole scene is killed with very bad glass window on top... not only bad material, but a bad modell as well. Cylynder primitive was not a good choice... Another BIG trouble is in fact, that the whole scene is MIRRORED left to right. Awfull look... especially when camera is standing straight in center. This leads us to another thing - poor composition: central cymmetrical disposition with empty space in front. I realy want to give you a peace of advise. You create too many "empty" scenes, which don't need much work.. Instead try spending more time on ONE scene, but put a REAL work in it. Don't make countless and useless clons, thus you are killing your talent and potential, which i believe you have._ Sorry for such unpleasant comment, but that's it. Somebody got to tell you. w.Respect, 1000FaceS

1000FaceS - First I'd like to thank you for taking the time to comment on my gallery posts. I am rewarded by my art provoking thought - whether it is for its fantasy or for the technical merits of its generation. Either way the comments tell me that a few have stopped long enough to view and enjoy or to study the details. To that end I am greatly rewarded.

I also don't see many of the things 1000FaceS is talking about. He is right reffering to the unlogical lightning of the statues. The two front figures look somehow unreal. Maybe that's because of a second light in the room, maybe that's why they were pasted after rendering. He is also right referring the mirrored textures of the columnes - that's very strange. I think the glass window on top is fantastic, and it is NOT based on a cylinder primitive, but on a cylinder unified with a hemisphere.

Great lightning man, (I don't give a f*ck what 1000FaceS sez no offense), radiosity in its entire majesty :) Though you could have used a little more bump mapping :-) Otherwise your textures are almost perfect :-) Really nice picture, keep it up.

i see allot of what 1000 faces is saying. it is a good image, and i am a big fan of yours. just some little things Y'all might consider..the shadows on the 2 middle figures confuse the by-jesus out of me. in terms of modeling. you did such a good job of bringing my attention to the big god like sky, i barely noticed your figures. then when i brought my eyes back down i see little dinky golden boys.with such a grande sky im thinking powerfull models. It is such a perfect set up for more passion then what you have now. well good luck i hope you repost this cause it does have potential to be darn fine, thank you

is a 10 image and 1000 faces should look at a lot of 3D Studio Max renders they all have a plastic look to them it is the render engine that max uses so there for it is not the end user that makes it look like that thou the statue shadows are misleading they shine in a different direction to the shadows from the roof giving the effect of more then one light source but other then that the texture work is spot on maybe a little more bump mapping but that is your option to add them or not

Impressive!, I like the depth that has, it is seen that had worked a lot in the realization, it impresses me the effect of zenithal light that is projected in the floor and it shows the form of the window, incredible and imposing work.

Very well done.As to 1000FaceS comments for lack of a better word....there is a difference between a constructive critque and sheer rudeness.I see a lot of big talk from someone with no work of his own to show.Don't impose YOUR ideas of how something should look on another artist that makes it your vision not theirs.Instead of thinking what YOU would have done with the picture look at what the person that created it was creating for us to look at.As for the scenes being empty, they are spacious and not cluttered with too much useless details that detract the eye from the piece as a whole. The openness has your eyes taking in the whole scene not just parts. As for killing his talents far from it. The picture as a whole in look and feel is great. Yes technically it may not be perfect but ARTISTICALLY it's wonderful.Good Job.
