Description
When mermaids reach a certain age, they must leave their family circle and start a new life on their own. This young mermaid is finding it very difficult to venture into the deep and often dark ocean by herself and has realized this will be more difficult than she had imagined. But, like all her predecessors she will eventually master her fears and become a mermaid of renown for both her wisdom and physical strength.

Her expression and body language definitely convey the uncertainty she's feeling, but I'm glad to know she finds her inner strength! Nice kelp-themed body art and underwater lighting and bubbles!

Be brave little mermaid! She does look uncertain, but those strong, tall rocks behind her should protect her for a bit. Nice blue water effects, the ripples and bubbles look good. I love her hair floating in the water like that. You made a wonderful mermaid scene, I really like the whole look of this.

once again, your light is very underwater-ish, I love the blue and green tones in this, and the dreamy way it envelops everything. The mermaid---yes, she looks like she's still seeking her way, there's of mixed emotion in her face; but she also seems at home...love the coloring and bands across her, and face patterns, etc. And the layered stone floor (terraced, as if on mountainsides), and very clear plant life around her, and a starfish, etc. You caught her perplexed, and you caught the feel of the underwater world...Magically done. I hope you're doing well and staying healthy, and I hope the virus doesn't return to your area (the way it's popping up in other places): NYorkers have been a lot more cautious than many other places. I wish other places learned by example...Take good care Barb.
