Description
Something a little different today; I was inspired by a drawing I saw recently to explore some "low-key" setups; sometimes all the ultra-uber-mega-iray-HDRI stuff gets in the way!
one light, one figure, no setting, no background props....

simple is often underrated, here we are free to make up the background, is it a seraglio perhaps, and the deep shadows on the figure give her immense depth of form which is what Rembrant's lighting was all about; a lovely render and very exotic, if not erotic image, helped by a delicately sad expression
