Description
After being shipwrecked on the sandbanks of Abo while taking tribute to the Persian King, Samira fled from the clutches of the wizard holding the poor town in thrall.
Although managing to relieve him of his favourite horse, magic staff and a belt stuffed with jewels, she regrets not having time to steal back her clothes, but the wizard's noisy, and now very dead, parrot curtailed her intended revenge.
Beyond the town gates, the horse, a cantankerous beast it turned out, ran south into the middle of nowhere until collapsing in exhaustion.
Now, instead of a friendly village to the west and fisherman willing to take her back across the gulf for a handsome payment, her predicament seems worse, stuck as she is amid endless dunes.
But Gad, for his capricious amusement, hasn't abandoned her, a dust trail visible on the southern horizon suggests a caravan approaches. If so is it one comprised of genuine traders, or a crew of slavers driving poor wretches before them?
Should she attract their attention and meekly wait, or hide and slit their throats in the dead of night if they are indeed slavers?
As one of Queen Shamsi's personal guards, the prospect of a fight makes her veins tingle with joy and forces her to smile at the vagaries of the gods.

Cool picture, and a great story to go with it. What did she decide?

Great tonality and excellent textures, nice work
iborg64
very nicely done excellent skin textures and a good job done with the posing. The background sky looks very impressive is that created and rendered in pose of from a photo?
paul_gormley
Thank you for your kind comments; the background, including sky, is done in Terragen along with the dunes in the scene at 1200 x 1800. This is then loaded as a background picture in Poser and a foreground dune for the character to stand/kneel on made as an object in ZBrush and imported and then coloured to look like those in the background...The texture quality is not very good however, saw one today that was like something you made, very realistic :) have to try harder, it can be done even in Poser...
