Fancy a quick snog darlin'?
"A what? I'm not sure what..."
"Alright then, a quick kiss. Don't have to deep throat if you don't want to, but as I've got the tongue for it you might enjoy it," chuckled the frog
"Let me snap this benighted creature's disrespectful head off," hissed Pantera.
"No, Pantera, he might be poisonous," said Una, gently stroking Pantera's neck, "and if he is you'll become violently sick," she said, before adding in an aside, "though I do appreciate the thought."
"I'm an hincognito prince yer see," said the frog, getting in to his patter, "wicked fairy did for me like and the only way I gets ter be a prince is fora fairy to give us a snog."
"You don't speak like a prince," said Una, with a look.
"Whatcha expect livin in a place like this? It's the hinfluence of the henvironment innit? Not to mention the unsavoury geezers what hinabit this 'ere place. Bad people see? What can a poor frog, I mean prince, do?
"I'm afraid I might have to pass on your kind offer," said Una.
"Typical! Bloody typical. Take it that's a no then? Stuck up bleedin fairies ploddin about where they've no right."
"I could use magic," said Una with a sweet winning smile.
"Magic? Oh! M a g i c. Right. Go on then," said the frog all smiles, "we can kiss afterwards."
"Una waved her stave in the air and whispered something the frog strained to catch. There was a brief glow from the staff and then the frog abruptly turned to stone.
The sudden materialising weight tipped up the lillypad leaf and the frog slipped to the bottom of the swamp. The vacated leaf slowly righted itself and settled gently down on top of the ripples."
"Let me guess," said Pantera, "out of sight, out of mind. Most fitting," he chuckled.
