Thank you so much for stopping by. You do wonderfully detailed work. You are a fine story teller and you graphing panels give those that don't read an opportunity to follow along.

You did just fine. Been doing a little Daz today myself. I should have a new render up in a few hours.

It just takes practice. You already got the eye.

Thank you for stopping by. It has been years for me since I worked in DAZ. I have literally forgotten almost everything so I appreciate your kind words of encouragement. Your latest 'Fashion Comfortable' was a really cool piece.

Nice first Iray effort! Oh you can definitely have fun with Iray, but you'll need to read up on it. Just remember, turn off the camera's headlamp when you render or you will have a face on spotlight throwing your lighting off.

It looks so good! I love how well the images work in the Environment tab--and you can stuff any image in there, even hand painted ones. Bigger is better for the ones like this, just for resolution. There is a lot to like in DS, even though the materials tab is a little clunky sometimes.

I will definitely look into the DAZ Environment tab. Thank you for the tip. Advanced warning , now i will pester you to explain it to me in terms a 5 year old can understand. Thank you for dropping by.

You can turn down the headlamp so it functions more like a fill light. I can recommend ShibaShake's tutorials on Iray, which are freely available for how to use emissive lights as fills to compliment HDRI lighting. But this is a fine render nevertheless, as you have engaged in storytelling, and that is the most important thing in art. Stay well my friend.

Thanks for the tips. It felt like the first day of school. The transition to the DAZ interface is not bad. There are however a whole lot of aspects about how you do things that i am constantly having to go the tutorials or forums to read up on. Still it is a solid tool that cannot be overlooked.

Thanks for dropping by an taking a peak. Your camera work is wonderful Especially since here in the U.S. , we are still nearly shut down. Your camera lens is a great way to pass the time as we the people assume responsibility for stopping Covid-19. Our President and his administration have totally failed us.

Daz has really come a long way. They have a wonderful total encapsulated environment for the render tool that makes product purchase and installation a snap. You never even have to download a zip. Thanks for the comment and for your encouragement.

Hearty congratulations on a job well done! I will be rooting for you as I also turned to Daz after a number of frustrating years working in Poser!

daggerwilldo

1:52AM | Sat, 18 July 2020

I like working in both. For Poser it is the inventory full of goodies I have collected over the years. Thanks to Xdresser all the Stuff carries forward to l’homme and laFemme. For Daz/Iray it is the Render engines quality output + the amazing characters they Keep coming up with. We’ll pass on any tips as I am going to need them. Don’t be surprised if you see a site mail or two asking newbie questions.
