When I was a little girl, I could see Dragons. That's how I chose my name here at Renderosity. (Sometimes I can still see them.)
I have been an artist and a writer all my life - and have worked in acrylic on canvas as well as watercolor. I was best known for my watercolors of dream creatures - especially for my Dream Birds. Lots of my art and writing has been found in dreams.
In May of 2000, I did my first 3D picture on the computer. And I was hooked.
My Underground Shaman series - takes off where my 2D work left off. The faces of animals, human, and not-so-human always fascinate me and I like to use them as stylized motifs to create mandalas full of textures, patterns, colors and emotions.
With the internet, I discovered, that while some people make art to look at, I like to make art that looks at YOU! :-)
The Underground Shamans are Wise Ones from many worlds, realms, and dimensions. In mid-2002 the Dragon Fae also began appearing to humans - they are an interesting race, well-traveled, and good talkers.
My computer and software are now ancient, but they and my imagination are still working at the moment - more or less (as of August 2021)
Thank you for clicking through to this page and for taking the time to look at my dragongirl Gallery pictures here at Renderosity.

you've spoken of water as a manifestation of pure spirit, and underground water (water at a deep inward level, I think), which can dissolve rock and remain whole. (The Tao Te Ching/Dao de ching, as you may know, says one should be like water, as it is the one basic substance that can dissolve rock...) You speak of the People the way myths speak of the People, their ancestors, their founding stock, etc. And the caverns are formed not by erosion but by the great sparkling beast (water) of a time long ago. 'Touched but never grasped' speaks in the words of ancient cultures, and she touches the rivers of gold within all people, the way water (and spirit) does. Amazingly, this timeless shaman has the face and proportions of a child, rather than of an adult, and that suggests eternal childhood, purity, etc. Her ornamental head dress (or hair) has mythic carvings and forms on it, and two large flowers on each side, and her mouth is almost dammed (as in a "dam"), suggesting more water. And your background has these totem-like presences---torsos and heads made of intersecting flower petals (maybe) and the effects of drying and erosion...and a vast red wasteland and red sky, suggesting primality and primal beginnings. Your art often evokes primal formative landscapes. And your shaman seems half in trance, half looking at us...as if she came 'out' halfway, but remains halfway inside herself...Finally, you have two thin rods or lights flowing from her head to her shoulders...they remind me of the 'lifeline' that eastern mystics wear, to connect upper with lower (a string worn from the head to the genital region). Rich and profound musings, with a primal timeless landscape...and the shaman has reds on her as well, to harmonize with the world around her...another profound piece from you...
