Wanted to do something using mostly renderosity stuff.
For freebies, we got a pose from BBarbs "dFoce Friendly" pose set.
The tulip came from hiveiwre, during their freebie event they did for COVID-19
Originally, I loaded up Xiaang, but then remembered that she was the base for my character Sasha, so decided to make a little character portrait piece while I was at it. Canonically to the story, she was a model so something artsy like this makes sense.
The dress is one of Lully's, of course. When i sat down I thought I was going to make something a lot more complicated, but once I got the dress loaded that plan changed. We got two planes and a sphere for environment. ALL the light is from the sphere. I placed a pattern that came with a panty set to in the emmisive field to get that interesting effect going on. Then decided I wanted the light to be neon. A broadcloth - cream shader for the ground place, and a monochromatic - black shader for the rear plane. I ran dForce, did a quick snap render to check the hair, and then set it up for the final, which rendered in about an hour and a half.
Simple, but I like it. I guess I only used four items from Renderosity, but still. I hope you enjoy! I'm planning a more elaborate picture later, so look forward to it.

Thanks! I'm glad those things were noticed. I went from envisioning a complicated scene, to a subtle one. Subtle can be quite difficult. I also wanted to make sure that the sphere was the only light in the room so I didn't end up spending umpteen hours adjusting luminosity levels.

Ah, yes. Thanks. So, to break it down, if you've been watching the gallery: This is Sasha. She was Lenny's SO. By the time my book ends, she had been murdered and has been dead for some time. She worked in a modeling agency, where she mentored Rachel. The same agency hired Amira. (The two with the car.) Part of Lenny's arc is moving past her grief to explore a relationship with Skye (She with the pink hair.)
I'm glad you like. I imagine most pics I do of Sasha will be on this nature, since they'll probably be photographs placed around Lenny's house.

Thank you! Using Daz studio has become almost like when I sit and write. I just start by loading a character and follow it where it takes me. Sometimes, like this time, I'll have a goal. Sometimes I'm trying to illustrate a scene. But always I try to step out of the way of whatever artistic muse decides to work through me.

You know what's interesting? The feathers and the tulip are all in contact with the ground plane.
I don't know how the shadows formed that way, but I think it looks cool. So there.
