I am the author Lyle Aryn. Writing is my first love, my one true passion. Every since I was able to string a sentence together, it's all I've wanted to do. Websites where you can find my work and more are below.
I started using Daz Studio October 23rd of 2018, just as something to dink around with. I'd been signed up with the sight for a while, and would occasionally remember to check for freebies. I was surprised at what I had when I finally loaded up the program. I just started playing around with it, figuring it out. I'd say about 92% of what I've learned in the program I've learned just by playing around with it.
In December I went from being a dutiful son looking after his mom, to the full-time, no nights or weekends off, caretaker of my Mom. As someone who struggles with depression, anxiety and a mood disorder or two, this change has had a drastic impact on my own personal care and well-being. I turned to my blossoming love of doing digital art as a way to cope with the mountains of stress on my shoulders. I do miniature painting, too. But when you haven't slept in 4 days, handling a brush can be very messy. Not being able to paint to my own personal satisfaction was making this avenue of relaxation increasingly frustrating.
Daz Studio has an undo button that you just don't get with painting miniatures.
As my skill with the program grows, so does my confidence. I did the cover to my fifth novel, "Because the Night" using Daz Studio, as well as new covers for two previous releases. (Though they haven't been updated just yet.)
I'm looking to always improve my artistic work, no matter what the medium, and Daz Studio is no different.

she's a bit sloppy with the grease, but I bet she does a good job.

I figure the old truck behind her did not give up its oil pan without a fight, lol. I'd like to take it further one of these days, so some sexy dirty mechanic pinup art. That's a thing, right?

Thank you very much, RG19. I think she'll stick around, as Joan's sister.

Fascinating to read about your creative process. I really enjoy learning how other artists approach an idea.
I'd say this lady definitely gets into her work!

Much thanks! I'm just glad somebody takes the time to read it. I know I can be long-winded, bit that's sort of an occupational hazard.
Thanks again.

You’re so very detailed in creating these characters. I think it is sometimes easier to write about them then to create them in render form. It’s obviously a bit much to expect such a good writer to also be into creating geometry and skins that perfectly match up to the written word. You do a fine job at getting the point across. You’re very talented.

That's very kind of you to say. I'm no good drawing with a pencil. I've been really happy to discover Daz 3d, and to get into using it. It's much the same with miniatures. I couldn't sculpt one to any great detail, but I can paint them to an amazing degree. I'm thinking of uploading photos of that one of these days, to the photo gallery.
As far as writing goes, I've always wanted to be a write. It was the first thing I wrote in my Kindergarten journal, lol.
Thank you for having a look. I can see the pictures in my head, and Daz 3d gives me the tools to bring them to life.
