Description
I don't remember if I posted this, but if I did, it was a long time ago (and in color)...
Lake Michigan, in an ancient 2 MP shot.
And no, those aren't mountains: If you find any in these parts, let me know. (Those are clouds.)
I'm commenting at last! Sorry it took all week to get to it---I'll finish on Saturday. I may have to step down for a couple of weeks, to catch up with things at home (ie, family, legal, my back, etc). If I do, I'll still see everything (and be back soon).
Thanks for your visits! And hope you're all doing well! I had a story for this---a couple wakes up and says, "whoa! There are mountains out there!" But it didn't go anywhere...Stay safe and healthy! mark
(I'll finish comments tomorrow)

Hi Mark. This is a lovely capture. Images in color are lovely, but, to my eye, B&W images are special. Maybe because they bring out more detail--don't have all those colors competing with one another. The way the sunlight plays on the clouds is delightful--looks like Mother Nature has taken a brush to delicately paint those highlights.
Sounds like you have lots on your plate ATM...do take care...Hope your sister is doing well.

To me, it looks like a severe storm is about to occur. Fabulous work

major cool monochrome look Mark, just the right manip to give it the look. the clouds do resemble distant mountains. a most excellent capture, and I agree with Barb, B&W has its finer details. stay safe in that violent city i'm hearing on the news. and bless you and your family my friend, thank you.

It looks like a New England scene. Clouds, mountains and trees all competing for the view. The sun absolutely shines in this photo even if it's hidden; the clouds glow and appear to be very magical. The black and white looks good here, it makes the time of day a personal choice, sunrise or sunset, it's up to the viewer.
Take care. Be well and safe. You, and all who you love, are in my thoughts.

It looks like stormy waves in the sky!

Great capture, Mark! Take care!

it looks like the land is sandwiched between the waves... the clouds look like the lower side of the top of the water!! Great image!

I have seen clouds that look like mountains if one's imagination is in high gear. very good sunrise pic Mark

This is really a lovely shot, Mark! I used to shoot quite a bit of B&W back in the day when you'd put that funny plastic-y stuff inside your camera, then take it somewhere, or dip it in funny smelling concoctions to be able see the pictures..
You have a great range of tones here - everything from white to black and everything in between. Talk about HDR...
Yeah.... When the mountains start moving around on their own, we're all in a pretty deep pile o' poo.... 😲 LOL
