Description

This is the final pic for my 3DS Max I final project in college. It was pretty much all box modeling with meshsmooth on 2 iterations, unwrapped with Texporter, textures done in Photoshop, and rendered with the default Max 4.2 scanline renderer. This project has been the most incredible learning experience for me so far.

Sweet! I think the legs lack some of the fine detail on other parts. This is beautiful work.

Still a nice model with great textures... But it's just to sharp. It sticks out of the background to much. You need to add DOF to make it look more real. That way it would blend in and look part of the enviorment. The rock will probobly becom totaly unfocused like it would be if this was a photo. Otherwise it's excellent...

Really nice! Only thing I noticed was the "forearms" are a little too thick. Otherwise awesome. :)

A very good job. The environment could take a little more work, but the mantis is really good.

The addition of the shadow made all the difference in the world, and those textures are amazing. Did you make them yourself or are they from a photograph?
