Description

Hello Rendosians ! It is time to share with a you a panoramic view of Belfort (France), the hometown of my friend Jean-Luc (aka KarmaSong on Renderosity). Belfort is located in the Eastern part of France not far from the borderline with Switzerland. On this picture, you can see on the right hand side the cathedral (dedicated to St Christophe) and just behind, the mountains named Vosges. I live on the other side of these mountains. Belfort is known for its "Lion", a sculpture of Auguste Bartholdi, that commemorates the courage of the inhabitants of Belfort who resisted bravely to the Prussian army in 1870. Strangely, the sculpture was inaugurated ... 130 years after its realization in 2011 ! ********************************** Merci à toi Jean-Luc pour cette visite de Belfort et de ses environs ! Une autre des ces belles photos dont tu as le secret...qui "pètent" de luminosité, de couleurs...je suis juste passé rapidement à Belfort, il y a...hou...des lustres.

Hé, hé ! Revoir Belfort à mon retour de Suisse, et de si belle façon, c'est très agréable. Tu as le secret des panoramas impeccables, celui-ci en est un magnifique: cadrage et lumière parfaits, de beaux contrastes, et une certaine émotion à revoir ma ville avec un peu de hauteur ... Finalement, Belfort n'est pas aussi petit que son Territoire de département ! Un grand merci pour cette dédicace, Virginie, qui me va droit au coeur. En plus, j'ai appris des choses sur l'histoire du Lion, le cadeau est total !

superbe panorama de Belfort - I remember well this town I had a motorbike problem there and it was hot - found a nice bar with cool beer....😁 wonderful photo!
