Both versions have their own appeal and I like them both.

I found out quite quick in my dalliance into 3d art, I am often my own worst critic... I think it's like that for all of us, sooner of later. God only knows how many hours I've spent on a "simple" image, trying to get it just perfect in my eyes.

They are a fun couple. Just friends. They tried dating, but it just didn't work. But each is there for the other, and they've spent more than a few nights snuggled together. Nothing further than that.

I might have to do another version featuring their love interests. Change the posing a bit, and put Skye and Misty on either side. Hmmmmmmm.

Yeah. I figure while I don't like "double posting," it was a good call this time. Shows how sometimes going back in for just one more set of tweaks can turn a good piece of art into a great piece of art. Or something like that. I have to agree with you, Lyle, the shadows here really do fall so perfectly in comparison (even though version 1 was still great). There is such a greater richness and depth to this one. I love too how one is more cast in shadow while the other is just being touched by the light. So much to see here. Beautiful work. :)

I've never illustrated one before, and I got a feeling hat getting it into the storefront is going to be a real pain in the neck. It will be worth it, but I'm just hoping it doesn't end up proving too costly. I'm exploring posting it to Scrib'd instead of Amazon, just to see what happens, but the whole thing makes me nervous.

Which reminds me. I really need to get to editing it.

I really love this wonderful, moody image - both versions. I think this is my favorite of the pair.
