I am the author Lyle Aryn. Writing is my first love, my one true passion. Every since I was able to string a sentence together, it's all I've wanted to do. Websites where you can find my work and more are below.
I started using Daz Studio October 23rd of 2018, just as something to dink around with. I'd been signed up with the sight for a while, and would occasionally remember to check for freebies. I was surprised at what I had when I finally loaded up the program. I just started playing around with it, figuring it out. I'd say about 92% of what I've learned in the program I've learned just by playing around with it.
In December I went from being a dutiful son looking after his mom, to the full-time, no nights or weekends off, caretaker of my Mom. As someone who struggles with depression, anxiety and a mood disorder or two, this change has had a drastic impact on my own personal care and well-being. I turned to my blossoming love of doing digital art as a way to cope with the mountains of stress on my shoulders. I do miniature painting, too. But when you haven't slept in 4 days, handling a brush can be very messy. Not being able to paint to my own personal satisfaction was making this avenue of relaxation increasingly frustrating.
Daz Studio has an undo button that you just don't get with painting miniatures.
As my skill with the program grows, so does my confidence. I did the cover to my fifth novel, "Because the Night" using Daz Studio, as well as new covers for two previous releases. (Though they haven't been updated just yet.)
I'm looking to always improve my artistic work, no matter what the medium, and Daz Studio is no different.

Thank you.

Looks like the daughter of the Jolly Green Giant! How happy she looks. A face of contentment! Lovely work!
LyleAryn
Daisy is generally a happy idiot. I think the new players will like her. Thank you for the comment!

She looks nice, she got some good ... arguments.;-) Nice to see they have a ship's cat.
LyleAryn
Thanks! Got to keep ahead of them rats, even riding the thermals. Have a great Sunday.

I assume the cat owns her (it' never the other way round with cats!)...
Excellent image, I like the smile, she does look warm and rather... cuddly, without looking like a pushover.
I don't think the grain that shows detracts from it at all, as the focus is clearly on your character; that does seem a rather long render time for this. Bizarre how that happens sometimes, isn't it?

The mysteries of Daz Studio. I think it worked out, but now I'll be constantly wondering why.
Thanks for the feedback! Much appreciated

Go Green ! Awesomeness : )

I rather like her skin tone. It seemed "too hreen" in viewport, but it sure rendered up nice!

Stunning image!
LyleAryn
Thanks, Deva.

Indeed strong arms, but where are her Teeth?? Funny looking image, I wish you a nice Sunday evening!

I a tually had an open-mouth smile on her for a bit but it was very frightening! There's some decent chompers in there. I decided on this so in the portrait, she would seem friendly.
Her primary role on the ship is to look tough, and with any other expression, that's not hard at all.

Interesting character design....another great addition....lovely work and scene...!
LyleAryn
Thank you. I think I've got to do a classic "bikini edition" of all the pirate ladies. Could be fun. I picture Daisy just skinny-dipping with glee.

Fantastic work on this image, my friend.
LyleAryn
Thank you. That's very kind. You take care of yourself, now. Don't make me send the orc...

Wonderful character and a fine backstory. It is oh so true how working on a character, they can develop a personality. I know because one of my most unsavory characters has had a recent run-in with his softer side A very well constructed render. I am still trying to figure out render times. Well all of mine are to long now due to machines age and no GPU support. That will change shortly.

I dream of the 3080 titan...
Thanks for stopping in and having a look. Always a pleasure.

Wonderful character, Lyle! I never did play D&D but my husband did in his childhood also, so vicariously this is nostalgic for me. Even so, the figure is great and really compelling and I am drawn into her story. :)
LyleAryn
Thank you. That's really sweet of you. You're lovely, truly you are.

I love Green Girls, mine come from a different Galaxy ... This one is a cutie as well. Nice work.
LyleAryn
I think she's still out of this world. Thank you!

Fantastic character! This is getting to be quite a fascinating and diverse crew.
LyleAryn
Indeed! Thanks for looking. Sophita the engineer is next. Got her rendering now.
dakotajaroo
cute skin texture, beautiful character
LyleAryn
Thank you. I rather like it myself. Very richly colored, and it doesn't look "weird" or too otherworldly. I'd recommend the character for the skin texture alone.
miwi
Fantastic portrait, wonderful mysterious character, excellent done!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
LyleAryn
Thanks a bunch, Mike. You try to keep cool today, you hear?
Radar_rad-dude
Very interesting character and back story! Fantastic viewing and reading!
LyleAryn
Thank you. I can hardly wait to do some group shots. I can picture her grinning hugely, clutching Penelope and Sophita to her bosom. Being all "Group hug, group hug!"
RodS
Aw, she's so adorable! Love her wonderful green skin, and her fun, sweet, and charming expression. Yeah, if someone makes her mad, he probably deserves whatever she dishes out.
Excellent work on her, my friend!
LyleAryn
Thank you! I'm so glad people are liking her. She's great. Every story of sky pirates needs a sweetheart, right?
