Description
This was an idea I had that just wouldn't leave me alone, so I took a break from fun pirates to make it happen.
This is three different renders. Saved as two scenes. One with the normal girl, one with the monster.
Bottom layer is the scene with nobody in it. Just the mirror and lights.
Middle layer is the monster layer.
Top layer is just the girl and lights.
Loaded it up into GiMP. With the middle layer on, I erased the monster outside the mirror. Then stacked in the top layer, after erasing the lights from it.
I mean... Magic. Yes. Clearly. I used magic to do it all. Ha. Magic nad a single spotlight, along with the scene lights.
'ware the monster in the mirror...
I'll be brief this time because I'm super tired. Let's just say that there is a deeper significance here.

somewhere i have a image, the workflow remembered to yours... in my case a vampire-hunter, a vampire and a mirror... the mirror shows only the hunter....

I think we can all probably relate this to someone we know from one part or another of our lives; the sweet exterior, with the vicious, hateful, vindictive soul hidden beneath, poison in a pretty package.

I would agree..well worth your time and effort...very clever image if not a little worrying... superb execution...least she hasn't broken the other realms of reality and go a foot out of the mirror...top work...!!

I had to see if I could figure it out. It took a bit of setup work, but I'm pretty pleased. It tells the story I want it to. Thanks for the feedback.

Wonderful post work. You really thought this through and accomplished a believable reflection without having to sacrifice the skin tones of the lass on this side of the reflection. The theme behind this one has some very real world concerns about how we perceive ourselves.

Thank you. It was a thought that just wouldn't leave me alone. Someone very dear to me has trouble seeing just how special they are, referring to themselves as a monster a while back, and I guess it all just glued together in my tired brain.
