Description
Another shot of the lighthouse from the boat. In some heavier fog and it looks like the seas are cicking up a bit more as we cruesed around the lighthouse pier. The water has swollen up enough to swallow up the mail level of that pier and the important thing to know is that there is an additional length of pier that extends about 100 yards out beyond the lighthouse building.
You can see the importance of the foghorns have in low visibility weather conditions like this and this ain't nothin.' Just wait till we get a tropical storm or hurricane out there causing big enough waves that extent over top the lighthouse building. I commend the brave men and women who tended these lighthouses, risking life and limb, weathering the storms in these structures so as to ensure the safety of sailors navigating the area.
We're still gonna get chance to get up and inside that lighthouse for a look around once we get a clearer, calmer day.
