Description
Why there are no human females on board - no males either, just me and your robots.
Privanar stared moodily into space and thought again of Her. There was little sense in going over the past, he knew; he was no longer part of her world, nor she of his.
He still admired the finely-chiselled features, the clear sparkling grey eyes, the hair of spun silver, the full lips, parted in a smile, and it was all too easy to relax in a dream of what might have been, if … If. Damn. What was the use? Why waste time dwelling on the past? For all her beauty what do these memories remind him of now but her falseness? Had she not made him what he was now, cynical, standing apart from women and blaming them all as if they were all made in her image.
Her beauty still pulled at him; an evil beauty, he muttered, for it had brought destruction and death to so many.
The past is dead - and my anger with it, he thought.
"There was one I loved," he said eventually, "but she is dead and I will have no more such aboard."
"And you mourn her still? Is it not all past? Can you not move on? And why no men?"
“I mourn her because I loved her,” he muttered; “and I mourn him because he and I fought side by side.”
“How did they die?”
“I killed them both,” he replied, turning his seat now to look her full in the face, “because they betrayed me.”

Very inquisitive little robot! She must be careful not to ask the wrong question or she may be his next victim? Excellent image! Well accomplished!

Great use of MortemVetus. You pulled him from past, and present, into the future. That is very creative. Well done and a joy to view.

And now the inquisitive bot knows just how much the captain values loyalty! Let's hope she's wise enough to have learned a thing or two from the tragic fate of the humans!
