Description

We are still in the midst of a major down-sizing of all the stuff we've been toting around for the past almost 50 years. Stashed away on a closet shelf and hidden for years, was a box Jo recently stumbled onto. It weighed in at slightly under 5 tons. (Yes, I'm exaggerating - but only a little...) Inside it were hundreds of old photos - both prints and negatives. Ye gods.... The scanners were (and are still) busy.. There were lots of old family photos of my mom and dad, her mom and dad, aunts, uncles, cousins, grandmas. grandpas, and people neither one of us have a clue who they are. And then there was this... Good grief.... In 1968 - my senior year - our high school had its first U.S. Air Force ROTC (Reserve Officer Training Corps) classes. I was one of the first Cadets. My mom snapped this photo of me with her old 120 film camera. I spent a good day cleaning up all the dust spots in Photoshop. I had no clue back then what life would lay at my feet. One of those things I had no idea of was that the lady sitting on the porch across the street would wind up being my mother in law years later. I loved her dearly, and miss her as much as my own mom. Anyway, I had to post this just for fun, and also to prove the fact that at one time in the distant past I did indeed have hair! -------------- I am working on the next TNA page, and hope to have it done soon. That's really awesome. Great photo and funny coincidence about your mother in law.

Cadet! Welcome to your first year in the Merchant Militia! You will immediately report to Ms Kharsha Va-Ortaugh for boot polishing and every kinda thing, now git!

Dang, were we ever that young? I've heard I was about 3 going on 4 back in '68. I still remember the place we lived in oddly enough. Weird the way memory works. I have a box of old photo's full of DIIKs I don't know, except for a few. We ... um ... aren't the best looking bunch lol.

Hey, didn't know that's how you looked way back in 1968! You sure looked smart in that uniform!

I was only 5 years old then. Pretty much your junior!
