This morning I went with my husband to my sports doctor for my damaged back. He referred me to a specialist (we'll call him tomorrow at the main hospital in Luxembourg for an urgent appointment because he's the specialist for Infiltrations, a.s.o.), the new painkillers help, but they make me very tired.
Two of my lumbar discs are almost completely destroyed and the one in the middle shows a herniated disc which is pressing on the main nerve responsible for the legs, hence this numbness and the problems when walking and sitting for long periods. If this does not help, I will probably have to get two new discs in the near future.

PS. I know that here in the galleries are many artists who are worse off than me and I wish them with all my heart much strength and power for the Future.

Hey, don't compare your pain to someone else's! It's not good to invalidate yourself that way. We're each unique. You start thinking, "people have it worse," and it's not good for you. You're making your experience somehow mean less. And guess what? It isn't!

Oh Lyle, I know that's just a saying, but that's how I am, I always think of other people who might be much worse off than me (I lost four good friends last year, who lost the battle against cancer) even though most people don't care who you are, what you do, what you have experienced in your life, how you are mentally and morally concerned, etc. etc. You as a writer see this from a whole different angle of view than me!

Merci cher ami Jean, avec les nouveau medicaments je souffre nettement moins qu'avant, (bien que ce n'est pas une solution pour long terme) alors ma vie est devenue plus ou moins supportable (merci de ta gentille visite)!

Dank je lieve Adrie, met de pijnstillers is het draaglijk geworden, ik moet nu afwachten wat de neurochirurg suggereert te doen of wat nog gerepareerd kan worden, ja helaas gaan de oude botten niet mee tot het einde van het leven - Zorg goed voor jezelf, zo is het er gebeurt iets snel!

Spectacular work! I really like how it the clarity and style vary across the image. I know what you mean about thinking of others who appear to be dealing with worse conditions; I do it too because it is how I was raised. I think it was meant to instill empathy and compassion for others, which you definitely have my sweet friend. It does not diminish what you are going through and my heart goes out to you for all you've endured. I'm glad the pain killers are helping for now but it is my hope the specialist can do something more permanent to relieve your condition. hugs

Il y a bien trop longtemps que je ne suis pas venu dire tout le bien que je pense de tes superbes créations...un peu trop occupé. Désolé d'apprendre tes problèmes...je compatis d'autant plus que l'arthrose cervicale me pose de sérieux problème aussi.

Oh' madre mio, che orribile Savino, attenzione, perché con l'età peggiora sempre di più, ne avevo uno 40 anni fa e un medico sportivo ha usato un trucco per rimettermi nella giusta posizione dopo che ho camminato con dolore per 6 settimane. Auguro a voi e alla vostra famiglia una piacevole serata e una bella domenica!
