I am the author Lyle Aryn. Writing is my first love, my one true passion. Every since I was able to string a sentence together, it's all I've wanted to do. Websites where you can find my work and more are below.
I started using Daz Studio October 23rd of 2018, just as something to dink around with. I'd been signed up with the sight for a while, and would occasionally remember to check for freebies. I was surprised at what I had when I finally loaded up the program. I just started playing around with it, figuring it out. I'd say about 92% of what I've learned in the program I've learned just by playing around with it.
In December I went from being a dutiful son looking after his mom, to the full-time, no nights or weekends off, caretaker of my Mom. As someone who struggles with depression, anxiety and a mood disorder or two, this change has had a drastic impact on my own personal care and well-being. I turned to my blossoming love of doing digital art as a way to cope with the mountains of stress on my shoulders. I do miniature painting, too. But when you haven't slept in 4 days, handling a brush can be very messy. Not being able to paint to my own personal satisfaction was making this avenue of relaxation increasingly frustrating.
Daz Studio has an undo button that you just don't get with painting miniatures.
As my skill with the program grows, so does my confidence. I did the cover to my fifth novel, "Because the Night" using Daz Studio, as well as new covers for two previous releases. (Though they haven't been updated just yet.)
I'm looking to always improve my artistic work, no matter what the medium, and Daz Studio is no different.

Buddy the evil Vampire hunter... No kinship to Buddy the Christmas Elf, I take it?
He actually looks like the suave, sophisticated murder, well heeled and quietly dangerous, with a motive that's buried deep in his past; perhaps a dark, vampiric secret in his family?
Nice work, by the way!
LyleAryn
Thank you, Chasfh! I like how he turned out.

excellent
LyleAryn
Thank you!

Just because you kill vampires doesn't mean you are a nice guy. Assholes can hunt vampires too.
LyleAryn
Yes. I think I've got to do a render without the hunter gear to present to the players first. diabolical scheming commences

I for one am always a little apprehensive about someone who looks and acts "too" nice.. Makes me wonder what their 'real' agenda is...
Having said that, however, you really did an awesome job with "Buddy" here. Vamps, beware!
LyleAryn
Thanks! This is going to be fun...

The outfit and hair really suit him. Nicely done!

Great character and background, although personally, I've never been a fan of the vampires-can-be-good-people genre. I prefer them as monsters, in the Bram Stoker tradition.

I decided it would make for juicy story-telling. That the stories told about Vampyres are mostly propaganda. They can be good or evil just like anyone else. I do like some classic vampire - Buffy is one of my favorite shows - but at the same time. Even Dracula had some redeeming qualities.
With the current state of PC culture and everything, I like the idea of taking this creature that is often portrayed as a monster and making that into a media bias. Like, in-universe they'll often be portrayed pretty much straight-up Nosferatu. Even though they're recognized as a people officially, they're still persecuted.
Plus, if give my Pirate Captain a very delicious backstory for the players to eventually uncover. Emeline isn't a monster, though she's sometimes used that perception to her advantage.
IDK. It's just fun. But for movie watching? Give me Lost Boys over Twilight any day.
Kordouane
Good job well done
LyleAryn
Thank you most cordially, Korduanne

TYVM I'm glad you enjoy it!

It looks like he is ready for the hunt! I'll be the first, to speak for these creatures of the dark! Perhaps I can start a campaign to help protect this species, soon to be in great peril, at the hands of your vampire hunter. My slogan will be... "Save the Vampires from extinction!" An excellent and well done render! :-)
LyleAryn
Thank you. I thibk he'll end being a recurring character, who will seem like a friend. His target is the elusive Captain Emeline.
Of course, now I got to work on a write-up for his entire order of Vampyre Hunters.

Thank you. I was chatti g with a friend and kinda doodling to keep focused on the conversation (helps when I'm tired). I just wanted kind of a quick render. Wasn't even sure I would use it. But. I ended up here and now I've got an entire order of Vampyre Hunters in my campaign. Funny how that happens.
Radar_rad-dude
He is a really rip snortin fine looking young(?) vampire hunter! Many fine kudos on his back story and presentation art! This turned out really great! Bravo!
LyleAryn
Fairly young, but a bit fey-touched I think. I couldn't resist the lightning-bolt marks the character came with.
Richardphotos
his rifle is very intimidating for me. very cool weapon and character
LyleAryn
Thank you! Yeah, the axe-carbine is pretty wicked. I imagine the extra weight would reduce the increased recoil.
