I am the author Lyle Aryn. Writing is my first love, my one true passion. Every since I was able to string a sentence together, it's all I've wanted to do. Websites where you can find my work and more are below.
I started using Daz Studio October 23rd of 2018, just as something to dink around with. I'd been signed up with the sight for a while, and would occasionally remember to check for freebies. I was surprised at what I had when I finally loaded up the program. I just started playing around with it, figuring it out. I'd say about 92% of what I've learned in the program I've learned just by playing around with it.
In December I went from being a dutiful son looking after his mom, to the full-time, no nights or weekends off, caretaker of my Mom. As someone who struggles with depression, anxiety and a mood disorder or two, this change has had a drastic impact on my own personal care and well-being. I turned to my blossoming love of doing digital art as a way to cope with the mountains of stress on my shoulders. I do miniature painting, too. But when you haven't slept in 4 days, handling a brush can be very messy. Not being able to paint to my own personal satisfaction was making this avenue of relaxation increasingly frustrating.
Daz Studio has an undo button that you just don't get with painting miniatures.
As my skill with the program grows, so does my confidence. I did the cover to my fifth novel, "Because the Night" using Daz Studio, as well as new covers for two previous releases. (Though they haven't been updated just yet.)
I'm looking to always improve my artistic work, no matter what the medium, and Daz Studio is no different.

I love those expressions! I remember that old anime. Nicely done.
LyleAryn
Thank you, Starship! Glad you stopped by for a peek.
chasfh
Yup, very reminiscent of that era...
Super image Lyle, with no less than TWO Spacegirls! Can't be bad! Thanks a lot for playing!
LyleAryn
Thank you, Chas! The Lovely Angels sure like the suit!
Tracesl
great couple, excellent
LyleAryn
Thank you. Mad props to Chasfh for creating such a fun suit to play with.
Radar_rad-dude
Wow! What a nice, 'dirty' pair to draw to! A most excellent and exquisite image and even more so when I read all the problems you had creating it! Bravo and oh so many many fine kudos!
LyleAryn
Thank you. They were sure worth it.
And since Daz gave away yet another free Sci-fi Corridor this week... I think I'm going to have to do another Spacegirl render. (I don't know why all the corridors, either. I'm just crazy.)
NobbyC
Super image!!! :-)
LyleAryn
Thank you very much!
OkrimSlava
Awesome Girls.
LyleAryn

Great work
LyleAryn
Thank you!
A_Sunbeam
I must have missed the free corridors - they're not in the Free Stuff today. Great image!
LyleAryn
It's in the "buy an item and get this free" stuff. Or, if you got PC+, just grt it free, lol.
Thank you for the appreciation!
brain1969
na wow ... du kannst auch schön rendern ...
LyleAryn
Thanks! I do try...
Artienne
Fantastic work! Very realistic background and nice lighting! Brilliant idea to show both textures!
LyleAryn
Well... I did fiddle with it just a bit. Normally is blackk-and-red. But! Lots of surface zones, and so easy to swap between the texrures!
Davidvantol
Twice as awesome !
LyleAryn
Thank you. I'm sure they'll manage to blow up the entire station before the mission is over!
eekdog
greatly done, I like how you explain your work.
LyleAryn
Thank you. I appreciate it. So many mesh lights in this set! Really had to re-think my process. Which, in the end, worked out better. I think.
Greywolf44
You invoked the name of my favorite pair of trouble makers, Kei and Yuri, so I had to respond (LOL)!!! Very interesting take on the girls. . . maybe I should get a couple of my ladies and play with this theme? Thanks for the idea (small chuckle!) Just wondering about the gold clad female at the far end of the hallway. . . friend or enemy? My hat is off to you for going through all those rendering issues! Persistence pays off!!!
LyleAryn
Yay! Another DP fan! I took a couple liberties, and went more for personality then trying to exactly match character shapes from the anime. Like, what if we got a live-action?
I figure the space jester is probably an obstacle. It's hard to tell until you study how close her head is to the celing, but I scaled her up quite a bit. She towers over the Lovely Angels.
I had to resist going and finding a suitable model for Mughi...
hashdoc
what a cool pair! wonderful work!
LyleAryn
Thank you. I LOVE that "Angel's Light" image you just posted!

When you get pc locking issues, it usually means your gram is overloaded, has now gone into ram, and overloaded that. Daz does not have a way to manage any of that, 'cause idiots. i strongly recommend a plugin called Scene Optimizer by V3Digitimes. The main problem is that most new content is simply bloatware. Take that 4k texture and reduce it by 1/2. You hardly ever need a texture to be that size unless you absolutely NEEEEED to render nose pores. Add in fibremesh hair and you will never have enough pc power to really take advantage of Iray. Any scene should never have a total poly and texture size in memory greater than your G-RAM or you are going to bog things down.
LyleAryn
I hear ya. I think they could do something to utilize your virtual memory space more. I did delete MOST of the corrider set, and before I gave up and did it as layers, I was only using about 2gb memory. But. All those mesh lights drove it nuts.
Doing it in layers, it loaded into g-ram fine, and I didn't even need to let the BG run long. I just ran it into the little bit of the foreground that was "in-focus" was nice and sharp, and hit the kill switch.
I got the Scene optimizer. That would have been my next step. I had half a mind to do a couple more renders in this scene, so I didn't want to fiddle with it too much. If I go back, then I'll see if scene optimizer can save my sanity with it. I'd like to do one that isn't blurred because I like the crazy space jester character I put in there. I'm also thinking of doing one with helmets on, but since it's now separated into two different scenes, that would be a piece of cake.
More than likely, I'll move on. Lots of ideas to explore with the spacesuit! I can always come back around if the mood strikes me.

Beautiful sci-fi image, awesome characters!!!Nicely done.👍🙋♂️
LyleAryn
Thanks!
Nightwind
Excellent work! Sometimes the more of a pain an image is the better you like it in the end. :)
LyleAryn
I most heartedly agree with that sentiment, my friend!
Kordouane
Very nice work, it's fantastic
LyleAryn
Thank you kindly, Kord.
redwalrus
Nice work but it took a double take to see the woman in the background. good job as always.
LyleAryn
You'll be able to see her better soon, lol. Thank you very much. bows
JohnnyM
Excellent render! Overcoming obstacles that inhibits one's own creativity, can in itself be so rewarding! Great job on making this look so good! I like it! Have a great weekend! :-)
LyleAryn
Thanks a bunch, Johnny! And you too!
UteBigSmile
Your new image looks very nice, I wish you a good evening and a good weekend, stay alert and in good health!
LyleAryn
Thanks! And to you as well.
RodS
This looks really great - well worth all the hair-pulling it took to get it done! (and be careful with that, or you'll end up like me... Not much on my head (or in it sometimes for that matter... 😬😁). Still, I wouldn't mind a mission with these two!
Well done, my friend!
LyleAryn
Thank you. It was a lot of fun, despite the challenges. Taking a bit of a break from the suit. Getting caught up with editing my book. I keep getting hit with stuff, so it always feels like I'm falling behind. But. I know I'll have a new render up in a day or so.
Hope it is well with you.
And yeah. I think the Dirty Pair would get along with the TNA girls
jaxprog
Nice. The black lines on the forehead during render, in my render experience, its due to the hair cap. I resized the hair cap either a bit smaller or larger whichever makes it go away. Not sure if that's the case here, but that'd be my first suspect. Nice pair of buns here. I'm planning a backside render next too.
LyleAryn
Yeah. It was the hair cap. Sometimes you can get rid of it just by matching the hair's SubD with the hairs, but in this case I ended up having to resize it just slightly. Thanks! Glad to see you.
skyvendik
nicely done. Interesting characters
LyleAryn
Thanks! They really are.
