I am the author Lyle Aryn. Writing is my first love, my one true passion. Every since I was able to string a sentence together, it's all I've wanted to do. Websites where you can find my work and more are below.
I started using Daz Studio October 23rd of 2018, just as something to dink around with. I'd been signed up with the sight for a while, and would occasionally remember to check for freebies. I was surprised at what I had when I finally loaded up the program. I just started playing around with it, figuring it out. I'd say about 92% of what I've learned in the program I've learned just by playing around with it.
In December I went from being a dutiful son looking after his mom, to the full-time, no nights or weekends off, caretaker of my Mom. As someone who struggles with depression, anxiety and a mood disorder or two, this change has had a drastic impact on my own personal care and well-being. I turned to my blossoming love of doing digital art as a way to cope with the mountains of stress on my shoulders. I do miniature painting, too. But when you haven't slept in 4 days, handling a brush can be very messy. Not being able to paint to my own personal satisfaction was making this avenue of relaxation increasingly frustrating.
Daz Studio has an undo button that you just don't get with painting miniatures.
As my skill with the program grows, so does my confidence. I did the cover to my fifth novel, "Because the Night" using Daz Studio, as well as new covers for two previous releases. (Though they haven't been updated just yet.)
I'm looking to always improve my artistic work, no matter what the medium, and Daz Studio is no different.

excellent
LyleAryn
Thank you.
A_Sunbeam
Works fine; nice camera angle.
LyleAryn
Thank you. I wanted to be sure to give it a candid look.

Looks okay, but would he be sitting on the counter?
LyleAryn
There was nothing in the 3-minute orientation that said he couldn't, lol. Originally I was going to have Lola sitting on the counter, since she does in the chapter, but then it looked more like she was a customer, or a flirty girl. Trace is pretty relaxed.

Great POV...they should not sell (or worse, smoke !) cigarettes ! A poison !
LyleAryn
Neither smoke. Lola actually has some triggers involving cigarettes, which is why Trace does the inventory on them. I agree wholeheartedly - POISON!
OkrimSlava
Awesome Scene.
LyleAryn
Thank you, Okrim.

Masterful done!!!!👏👍🙋♂️
LyleAryn
I'm glad you think so! Thanks.

It's true that a spot towards the face could have highlighted it more
LyleAryn
Thanks. That's a part of the magic, right? Conceal and reveal.
generation2235
That is a good scene and nice arrangement. Tells a story that leads the imagination to what those two might be talking about there.
LyleAryn
Yeah. I hope it works well within the book. I think it will Just another typical work day.

Amazing image, excellent done!!!!!!!!!!!!
LyleAryn
Thanks.

outstanding scene and characters and posing
LyleAryn
Thank you, Ricahrd. Hope you are feeling well on this fine Sunday.

Works for me. Nice scene, and his casual pose is excellent! Quite intimate, in a strange sort of way...
LyleAryn
I'm loving the dialogue in the scene, too. It was just something that popped up, very naturally. I thought, "Maybe I could use another chapter here." And then "What would happen in it?" and the next thing I knew, I had an entire chapter detailing Lola going to work, which perfectly complements an earlier chapter with Lenny.

Very good scene!!!
LyleAryn
Thank you! Have a great day!

You have a good scene set up here, but in my opinion compared to Lola, Trace looks dated and his texture looks flat. That's just MHO. Maybe tweak his texture or try a different lighting on him. You always give me honest opinions which I so appreciate, so I believe you expect the same from me my friend.
LyleAryn
Yes, that is what I'm worried about. That's why I didn't add any clutter to the counter yet. I thought I'd give Gabriel a try, since he's been just sitting there for some time. Overall, I like the scene, but I wanted to get some other input before I ramped it up to the full concept.
Of course, I also realized this morning that since Trace is a married man, and since I've picked the lovely Nuka to be his wife, if I did any future renders with the pair of them it would be painfully obvious.
I'll look into it, but most likely I'll be swapping him out entirely with a G8M. Got a few of those I haven't used, either.
Thanks! I appreciate the feedback greatly.

The scene looks fine to me, pretty much a "normal day at work" kind of thing. Maybe a tiny bit more light on his face - as if it was bouncing slightly off the product boxes on the shelf. Not enough for him to dominate the scene, just enough for a bit more facial detail.
Yeah..... Adding characters..... 🙄 I started with 2 main characters - now I've lost track of how many are in the story.... LOL They all have a part to play, though..
LyleAryn
Yep. It's just strange for me because my books tend to have a minimal set of characters. This project has grown exponentially, just with named characters. Not to mention the scenes I've done with nameless (and faceless) characters.

This new graphic looks very beautiful dear Lyle! 🌺 I thank you for your sympathy and wish you a great new week!
LyleAryn
Thanks. I'm glad you could stop by and give some feedback. Take care of yourself, you hear!
romangirl
A really awesome scene! I suspect he has a crush on Lola.
LyleAryn
He's a nice guy, but maybe just a little bit.
eekdog
Seems he is on the prowl on picking her up. Nice rendered work and cool body art.
LyleAryn
Good to know... That's the second comment like that. Think I need some adjustments now. Thanks!
Davidvantol
Fantastic work
LyleAryn
Thanks!

I think it works, especially with the POV you chose.
LyleAryn
Thank you. Let me know what you think of MKII!
Artienne
Both the characters look cool. Maybe he is a little shy and only look at her stealthily when she does not see it. Characters do not always need to be shown that they need to make eye contact.
LyleAryn
That's one of the weird things, I think. It's harder to show just friendship between a guy/girl then it is romantic interest. Thanks for the feedback. Let me know what you think of MKII!
daggerwilldo
Personal opinion on Trace. He needs to be a BG character. Its not anything you did. There is such a distinction in geometry and texture. She needs to play to someone of her caliber. You are to be commended for trying new things. Well done for exploring boundaries.
LyleAryn
Hey. I think the updated version works better. Gabriel is great - just dated. And to bring him up to G8 quality? I got plenty of models.
tuxedomask
Nice work .
LyleAryn
TY
Radar_rad-dude
OMG! No! No! No! Don't tell me you use an old and totally antiquated Gen2 male character! LOL! Couldn't help myself, since I have never gone beyond M4 and he still works more than adequately for my feeble attempts! A very nice image with great and cool looking characters! Most delightful viewing!
LyleAryn
Lol. It's more how they look together in the same scene.
STEVIEUKWONDER
They look well matched! This is excellent work!
LyleAryn
Thank you.
