Description
Our stranded space travelers spaceship is pulled into the dark cavity of the huge space ship.
Everyone inside and outside is frozen in play by the beam pulling them. They travel down a
dark corridor at incredible speed. The walls are just a blur as they speed past them.
For what seems like miles of travel and a loss of time sensation, they finally come out into
a huge cavern. Actually, it looks like they have been transported to a planet. There is
cloudy blue skies above them and hills in the distant. The only thing to break up the
illusion is the industrial metal floor.
The beam brings them to about the center of the cavern and gently sets their spaceship down on
a huge steel block. When the beam disappears, Janax and Red are free to move again. They
quickly use their ropes the lower themselves down to the floor.
Jake and Jorge have been released by the beam as well and start flooding the two outside the
ship with questions. 'There appears to be breathable air for humans out here.' trills Red.
'My instrument sensors indicate it anyway.'
'We are getting the same readings inside.' says Jake.
'Do you guys feel daring enough to come out the the ship. We don't see anything to threaten
us yet. There is a nice line if what appears to be fighter space ships behind us. Don't know
what is up with them?' radios Janax.
'Okay. We're coming out!' exclaims Jorge as the door to the spaceship creaks open. Luckily it
wasn't damaged too much so it still does open. Jake and Jorge and Silo soon join Red and Janax
outside the ship. Everyone looks around in amazement.
'I've never seen anything like this!' exclaims Jake. Janax shakes his head in agreement. They
begin walking around the ship and are shocked to see all the damage to it that didn't show up
in outerspace.
'I want to take a closer look at those spacecraft.' says Janax. 'I have never seen anything
like them either!'
Just then, there is a sliding noise just out of site at the far end of the cavern behind
them. A double wide door, just barely visible, opens up and a small vehicle drives through.
As it draws closer, they can tell there is one humanoid and one small robot seated in it.
There are what appear to be five robots trotting along behind the vehicle.
It doesn't take it long to draw up to where they are standing. The driver is an alien of the
type none of them have ever seen before. He(?one can assum?) is rather heavey set and his
skin has a purple caste to it.
As he gets within hailing distance, he waves at them and hollers, 'Greetings. I hope I haven't
frightened you!'
They all wait for him to get closer before anyone speaks. Then they all want to speak at once!
'Wait up! Wait up!' he says. 'One question at a time. My translator is having trouble
filtering out all your voices!'
So Jorge takes charge and asks the alien, 'Who are you and why have you captured us?'
'Oh, I assure you, my intention is not to capture you. My ships sensors picked up your
distress signal and since there were no other ships in the area, I felt obligated to
investigate. When I saw the plight you were in, I turned my ships AI loose to learn as much
about you as it could before I proceeded. It was able to read you scant data banks and
listen in on your conversations and thus program the translator so we can communicate. After
I determined you weren't hostile, I decided to do an errand of mercy and try to rescue you.'
'Well, we thank you for your kindnes, but what are you going to do with us now?' asks
Jorge.
'Well, this ship has an incredible capacity to do just about anything you can imagine. I
have these robots you see with me and perhaps we might tackle repairing your ship. Of
course, I will expect some form of payment for services rendered.' says the alien.

Ah, the mannequins on parade!
Great twist to the story (again!) - and just what have they got in the way of things to pay with? Looking forward to the next development.
