I am the author Lyle Aryn. Writing is my first love, my one true passion. Every since I was able to string a sentence together, it's all I've wanted to do. Websites where you can find my work and more are below.
I started using Daz Studio October 23rd of 2018, just as something to dink around with. I'd been signed up with the sight for a while, and would occasionally remember to check for freebies. I was surprised at what I had when I finally loaded up the program. I just started playing around with it, figuring it out. I'd say about 92% of what I've learned in the program I've learned just by playing around with it.
In December I went from being a dutiful son looking after his mom, to the full-time, no nights or weekends off, caretaker of my Mom. As someone who struggles with depression, anxiety and a mood disorder or two, this change has had a drastic impact on my own personal care and well-being. I turned to my blossoming love of doing digital art as a way to cope with the mountains of stress on my shoulders. I do miniature painting, too. But when you haven't slept in 4 days, handling a brush can be very messy. Not being able to paint to my own personal satisfaction was making this avenue of relaxation increasingly frustrating.
Daz Studio has an undo button that you just don't get with painting miniatures.
As my skill with the program grows, so does my confidence. I did the cover to my fifth novel, "Because the Night" using Daz Studio, as well as new covers for two previous releases. (Though they haven't been updated just yet.)
I'm looking to always improve my artistic work, no matter what the medium, and Daz Studio is no different.

Congrats on that 2 year, you do fabulous Daz art. Dynamite pair of characters with great wears and love the wings.
LyleAryn
Thank you! I'm quite fond of this pair myself. And yes! These wings are some of my favorite, from the "War Bird for G3F" set.
jmattatall
Congrats you've come a long ways!
LyleAryn
Indeed! Hard to believe the journey it's been. Who knew deciding to play around with a piece of free software would lead me here today?
Tracesl
excellent
LyleAryn
Thank you, Tracesl!

Aw, man.... They look so wonderful, and strangely adorable.... Beautifully done, my friend!
"I kept finding problems..." So I'm not the only one that spends hours obsessing over the position of someone's pinky... LOL
Those details are so important!
LyleAryn
My original notes for the characters: "Lola is into cosplay, and Misty. Misty is into Lola. Lola hasn't figured that out yet."
MAYBE I'll share one of the first renders I did of them...
A_Sunbeam
Splendid presentation!
LyleAryn
Thank you, Sunbeam!

Fantastic work, and happy Daz anniversary!
LyleAryn
Thanks! Hard to believe it's been two years already. And also hard to believe it's ONLY been two years, lol.
OkrimSlava
cool Outfit.
LyleAryn
Thank you! I started with something really simple but then my inner Lola took over and I ended up going all-out.

It's a huge success for two to use Daz, I can only bow and say, bravo the artist !!
LyleAryn
Thanks! I appreciate it!

Very snake-y. I especially love the elfin character with wings. And the pose of the embrace is great. So hard to get a good embrace with a winged figure! Well done.
LyleAryn
Oh yeah, for sure! I thin it helps that Lola is so much shorter than Misty. Originally I had them separated a bit. And then suddenly it was like Misty was saying, "Get over here" and it just came together. Neither pose started as a couples pose, either. Which is pretty much how it was with my earliest renders on the account that I didn't have any pose sets then!

Happy Celebration my friend, I think DAZ ist always better than POSER, it's more easy to handle! 🌺
LyleAryn
From what I can see, yeah. But I suppose it's like Apple Vs PC. (I prefer PC myself.) I have friends that say I ought to ditch for Blender, but... WAAAY too complicated! Thanks for the feedback!

Two years, eh? Well done! And a cracking image to celebrate...
LyleAryn
I couldn't even fathom an image like this two years ago. Then i look back on some of my more recent work, like "Embers in the Rain," and I have to admit that I'm making progress with the software!
Nightwind
It's nice to mark anniversaries and compare periods of time. Excellent character work.
LyleAryn
Thank you. I think I'm going to have to post something from two years ago now.
Radar_rad-dude

Congrat's on two years my friend. I'd like to hea about your journey of learning. Where you started and where you feel you are going. It is a never ending journey. Well I'm not sure they have IRAY on the other side. I'd like to think art exists.
LyleAryn
They do have GOD rays...
Thanks Dag! Happy Saturday to you.
tuxedomask

Faemike55
A fabulous and beautiful couple! They fit together quite well.
LyleAryn
They really do, don't they? I love the play with the whole "Eagle and Snake" dynamic, too. Even though I didn't even realize I did that until after the fact.
